San Diego Vacation 2012 Day 1

Last week we went camping in San Diego for a whole week. It was a huge undertaking and by far our biggest trip ever as a family but it was so worth it. We all had a great time and hopefully made memories that will last a lifetime!

That's why we do it right? For the memories. Hopefully my kids will grow up and not think their childhood was totally boring.

So anyway We stayed in the San Diego KOA with Scott and Tracy and their kiddos over the week of the 4th of July. I was actually surprised at how nice it was there! No Cousin Eddy types in sight.

I took a ton of pics. I gotta break the pics up into posts for each day.

We had a great big grassy area right behind our campsite. It was a perfect area for us to play. We had bubbles, airplanes, face paint, etc. We spent the morning of our first day playing there.

The daddies were so nice to let the girlies paint their faces. IMG_20120703_093320.jpg IMG_20120703_093935.jpg

That afternoon, we headed off to the beach. I was super excited to have my kids see it. None of them have ever seen the ocean before with the exception of Tabby when we dipped her toes in it when she was a baby. Pretty sure she doesn't remember that.

Here they are seeing it for the first time. It was cold!!! IMG_0308.jpg IMG_0315.jpg IMG_0309.jpg
