The Knot Was Tied

My very best friend Heather all the way back from 9th grade got married in San Diego last Saturday. Everything was so incredibly perfect. The weather, the location, the fact that my kids were home.

Here are the pics of the beautiful weekend:

We got to our hotel the day before and found a little time to spend at Del Mar. Ohhhhh, it was so nice I could cry.Myself, Heather, and Rachel:
Ahhhh, feet in the soft sand.
I totally fell asleep and it was the best nap of my life.

We all went out for pizza the night before.
Here are all the girls having a crazy party (not really) in the hotel room. I fell asleep (lame, I know) while everyone else stayed up until some insane hour.
Heather, getting her bridal hair do:
Ooo La La! Don't worry, this was just prep. Cat actually made a beautiful hair do out of this.

The San Diego Temple tops my list for the most amazing temples. Well, I've only been in 3 LDS temples. But still, it's my fave.
You will have to forgive me, my pics aren't that great, I was trying to be a good bridesmaid so I ended up not being a very good photographer. Good thing her cousin (pro photographer) Jen was there to take amazing pics.
Check out this bouquet! I ogled it all day.
After the wedding, we went to a luncheon at the Chart House. It was right on the beach. If it had been any closer, it would have been a boat.

Here's the happy couple at their table:
This is just outside the restaurant.

Here are some pics Heather's sister Lauren Howell took (sorry I stole your pics, Lauren) She did a much better job than me.
The perfect couple got married in a perfect ceremony on a perfect day...

Tabby Said It

At least once a day, Tabby says something that's totally awesome as I'm sure most 5 year olds do.

Here's a great one from today:

As all moms know the color of a bowl or a plate is a huge deal. If the child is eating on a more favorable color, the food tastes better. Duh. Anyway, we are all in the kitchen fixing breakfast and Tabby is upset because Rex picked the pink bowl before she did. So she says: "Boys aren't supposed to want girl colors like pink. They are supposed to like boy colors like black, blue and chartreuse!" And then added a little "humph" at the end.

Now who's to say chartreuse really is a "boys" color, it's debatable. I just can't believe she pulled that word out like she uses it everyday. I think we're ready for kindergarten!

Old School

Yes! I'm so happy Big Wheels made a comeback! Who had one of these when they were a kid? I spent many happy days zipping around on mine. We found them at Target today and thanks to Grandma, now my kids get to have the same sweet ride I did.

Heather's Bridal Shower

Last Saturday was my friend Heather's bridal Shower. Her mom did the food, Lauren did the fun games, and my sis and I did the decorations. Heather wanted hot pink and black and damask and I think it turned out pretty cute. Lauren's already beautiful house was a great place for the shower. And the food was unreal good.
Playing a toilet paper game. Always great for showers.
Heather and her cute niece Grace.
YUM!!!
I had the hardest time making these and then my sis told me that red or pink dye messes up the consistency of the melting chocolate. That makes sense because the brown ones came out fine and the pink ones took a lot more work.
I wish I could say I made these little lemon treats but I didn't. So good!

What's Your Memory of Me?

Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :) If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

Ghetto Pool Party

What else do you do if you don't have your own pool and it rained cats and dogs the night before?
Kim and her kids had the same idea too. Rex was thrilled that Wyatt was there to play with him.
Look how high the water was! It made the slides way more fun.
Dale entertained the kids with his mad stunt skillz.
We need to get him out in to the sun more. His skin is almost the same color as his suit! All the kids challenged Dale to a race. He won while carrying 2 kids.
