What's Your Memory of Me?

Here are the directions:

1. As a comment on my blog, leave one memory that you and I had together. It doesn't matter if you knew me a little or a lot, anything you remember!

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty cool (and funny) to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you. :) If you don't want to play on your blog, or if you don't have a blog, I'll leave my memory of you in my comments.

alys, how crazy! I just did this very same post on my blog! we must have a good blogging connection!

anyway, my memory of you is in good ole 3 fountains ward. I remember meeting you and thinking you had the coolest hair! Your hair was in all these funky like curls and I thought to myself, "I wish I could do that with my hair!" Crazy the things you remember huh?

I also remember that you were GREAT at scrapbooking! Do you still scrapbook?

I love my wedding pictures and I look at them often. I have had a few people tell me that I have the best wedding pictures they have ever seen! Thanks a million for doing that for us!

One of the first things I remember about you was when you were dating Dale and you went on a long trip to New Zealand. I remember that Dale seemed miserable while you were gone. He would go running, which is something I had never seen him do before. I knew that you were special and that you would be my sister someday. Sure enough, you got engaged not too long after that.

Well, I remember once that I was gonna be having this baby coming out of me, and you graciously and without hesitation volunteered to be my hand to hold during the whole thing.

You even went to LaMaze with me, and laughed out loud when someone on the mat next to "tooted".

We laughed in the face of that broad who was teaching the class because she had never heard of restless leg syndrome...what a skid.

Then when that kid was actually being pulled outta my belly, you were all, "are you ok?" And I was all, "I'm worried it's gonna hurt..." And you were like, "I don't think it's gonna hurt...." cuz that dang baby was already outta me. Yup, that really happened.

Then this other time you were at the hospital with me so I could get this giant titanium hip put in me, and you tried to make my lump-head doctor laugh, and he kinda just stared at you like he was a robot.

That was all neat neat fun. You are definitely my cool head in any emergency!

I have too many special memories of you to pick just one. I remember our 1st date and how good you looked and smelled, and how comfortable we seemed together. I remember when you made me a quilt with a heart sewn into it. I remember that you went away to New Zealand, and I missed you so much that I knew you had to be mine. Then I remember kneeling across from you and thinking how beautiful you looked, and then you WERE mine. I remember how you toughed it out through 3 pregnancies to bring me my 3 perfect children. I can only vaguely remember anything that happened before I knew you, because I never really lived until I met you!

Since we didn't grow up together or anything like that, I don't have an old "memory" of you...but rather an "impression." I remember when you were pregnant with Ella when I'd see you at church I thought you were such a cute pregnant lady, and I loved how you'd wear your pink shoes to dress up your denim outfits.

I remember being on a walk together, and we were having kind of a serious conversation. All of the sudden we heard loud breathing behind us and this huge dog ran in between us and almost knocked us over. We had to walk him back to my house and call his owner. Funny times. You are such a cute, sweet girl and I'm happy I met ya!

I remember when you were called to be my secretary in the RS and I told you over the phone that I wasn't sure who you were or what you looked like. I was so embarrassed when you said, "I'm your son's cub scout leader." I knew your name was familiar, but I just didn't have a face for you. I thought I would die of embarrassment. I'm so glad I know you now:) I won't forget you!

I remember when you came to visit me when we first moved into the ward. You wore a really cute headband that I loved. Ella was just a few weeks old and had a blowout of her diaper and you hadn't brought any extras...and I couldn't help you 'cause all my diapers were huge for such a tiny little girl. Anyways, that's my first ever memory of you.

ha ha ha, where to begin! 'Salt lake city' in the backyard, eating our weight in ramen and mashed popos, schloztky bun run, whiskey row, all the new mom advice, random excuses to spend the day at the mall, (we need more of those bty) and yummers choc chip cookies. Oh yeah I have you to blame for my soft pretzel addiction. I think we need to go to target.

Well, you were the first person that I met when we moved into the castlegate ward and I got to know you by walking with you only, what??? four weeks after Ella was born? I thought "wow, tough chic!" I was so excited when I became your running buddy even though I was so slow. I got called to be your visiting teacher and knew you would be a great friend. Some of my favorite memories we've had have been: jacking stuff out of a vacant house, making crafty McCrafts(well, you making and me ruining), Ragnar(Swish, swish....FLIP!). You are one of my best friends and I am so glad that we have so much fun together!

Seeing you at Grandma's house when we go and watching you with your kids. You're such a loving mom with adorable kids.

Okay so I joined the fun I guess. FIRST OF ALL I used to refer to you as the blonde that has the skinny headbands. HA Who else buy you is cuter in those....nobody! Then I got to know you a little more from our parenting classes, ohhhhh so positive HA. I was envious of how articulate you were with your words and you always seemed so confident. Qualities I wish I had. I loved how you would get so passionate about things and it was always intriguing to watch you. You are always so nice and friendly to everyone and who doesn’t love ALys? Oh yeah, and you are my running guru to go to if I can get the energy you seem to have an endless supply of!
