Halloween Craft Night

Last Saturday, my sis-in-laws Jodi and Tracy and I had a girls craft night. We were all over our Halloween crafts like white on rice. It was a total blast and we didn't finish until 1:00 a.m. Hey, we have dedication.

First of all, I must mention the delicious treats that we stuffed our faces with all night. I even skipped dinner so I could eat just a little more guilt-free.

Jodi brought some awesome treats, but I didn't get pics of them. Believe me, they were good.

Some other treats that we had were Hugs. I love to make these every Halloween. I guess you could make them anytime but Tresure Goates showed me how to make them last year around Halloween and that's what they remind me of.
All you need are pretzels, (you can use any kind but I like the square Snyder's Butter Snap kind) Hershey Hugs (like kisses but they have white chocolate and milk chocolate swirled together) and M&M's. Heat your oven to 200 degrees, place the Kisses on the pretzels and put them in for 8 minutes. When you take them out, put 2 M&M's on top of the Kisses while they are all melty. Then put them in the fridge. They are WAY better cold.

I also made these:
They are called Pumpkin Pie Snickerdoodle Bars. It's like eating a cookie with pumpkin pie on top. Extra oowie gooie. You can get the recipe from Dozen Flours.

And my fave treat of all time:
Oreo Truffles. You don't even know. You have to make them and then you will know but until then you don't even know. I got the recipe from Bakerella. They look hard to make but they are so not.

Sorry, this post was supposed to be about crafts. Back on track now.

Here's what my table looked like during the frenzy:
Looks like Halloween threw up, doesn't it?

Here are the darling banners we made. I cheated, mine was already done. You may have seen it hanging on my mirror on a previous post of mine.
Here is what I spent most of my time on:

I think I might take the bow off just because I don't want my house to burn down. When I was hanging it, I discovered that those bulbs burn HOT. I learned it the hard way.
That is a 2nd (felt like 7th) degree burn! In the SHAPE of the bulbs. Right on the tender underside of my forearm. Crafts are dangerous people.

First the dishwasher casualty and now your arm. You better lay off the crafts for a while before somebody really gets hurt. :)

You are craft crazy! I love it. Those turned out really cute. Everyone loves the Halloween cone you helped me make. I was embarrassed that Travis told you that I took down a picture of Jesus to hang it. Especially since he told you at church. Haha. I definitely want to do some more crafts with ya, so we'll have to figure out a night.
